The Introductory Ultrasound Course is a two day course that covers all the primary applications of point of care ultrasound. The course is arranged so lectures are given in the morning with concentrated hands on lab experience in the afternoon both days. The lab uses live models for a realistic training experience and we provide adequate faculty coverage to ensure a significant hands on experience for each participant.

The Vascular Access Course is designed for anyone involved in vascular access. This course will teach you how to use ultrasound to improve your success rates and improve patient care when placing lines, both central and peripheral. We cover the basics of ultrasound and line placement with ultrasound and then spend a great deal of time in lab placing lines in multiple different types of phantoms. Models are also used to practice identifying the anatomy and landmarks.
Upon Completion of the Vascular Access Course participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate the ability to properly operate an ultrasound machine and make adjustments to obtain adequate image quality.
- Acquire ultrasound images for limited examination of the vascular structures in the neck and limbs for the purpose of placing intravascular catheters.
- Use ultrasound to facilitate the intravascular placement of catheters.

This two day course focuses primarily on ultrasound applications in the critically ill patient. This course contains some content similar to that found in the Introductory Course, but more focused for the ICU and emergency medicine physician. We cover basic topics initially then move through cardiac, vascular access, abdominal pathology and critical care ultrasound. Like all of our courses this two day course can be tailored for your group to cover just the topics you are interested in learning. This course is approved for up to 15.25 hours of category 1 CME including the online content offered.

The Advanced Ultrasound Course is designed for students to learn more advanced techniques for the use of ultrasound at the bedside. Students are expected to have a good working knowledge of ultrasound prior to this course. We will cover topics from advanced cardiac ultrasound to pulmonary applications. This course also has extensive hands on training following lectures. The Advanced Ultrasound Course is awarded 8 hours of category 1 CME.
Upon Completion of the Advanced Emergency Ultrasound Course, participants will be able to:
- Produce ultrasound images for limited examination of the following organs: lungs, deep venous structures of the limbs, soft tissue and skin.
- Produce ultrasound images for expanded examination of the cardiac system.
- Produce ultrasound images to be used in guiding management of patient resuscitations.
- Use ultrasound to facilitate the following procedures: thoracentesis, pericardiocentesis, lumbar puncture, paracentesis and peritonsilar abscess drainage.

The MSK and Regional Anesthesia Course is an introductory course to both regional anesthesia and musculoskeletal anatomy and pathology. The course has a heavy focus on the principles and approach of using ultrasound for dynamic procedural guidance. By combining both MSK and Regional Anesthesia, we sought to take advantage of the synergies around learning the anatomy relevant to both disciplines. The course includes a 3-hour lab, where participants will receive detailed hands-on instruction on scanning each large joint of the upper and lower extremity as well as learning how to identify the location and approach to perform upper and lower extremity nerve blocks.

Upon Completion of the Vascular Access Course participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate the ability to properly operate an ultrasound machine and make adjustments to obtain adequate image quality.
- Acquire ultrasound images for limited examination of the vascular structures in the neck and limbs for the purpose of placing intravascular catheters.

The Advanced Ultrasound Course is designed for students to learn more advanced techniques for the use of ultrasound at the bedside. Students are expected to have a good working knowledge of ultrasound prior to this course. We will cover topics from advanced cardiac ultrasound to pulmonary applications. This course also has extensive hands on training following lectures. The Advanced Ultrasound Course is awarded 8 hours of category 1 CME.

Upon Completion of the Advanced Emergency Ultrasound Course, participants will be able to:
- Produce ultrasound images for limited examination of the following organs: lungs, deep venous structures of the limbs, soft tissue and skin.
- Produce ultrasound images for expanded examination of the cardiac system.
- Produce ultrasound images to be used in guiding management of patient resuscitations.
- Use ultrasound to facilitate the following procedures: thoracentesis, pericardiocentesis, lumbar puncture, paracentesis and peritonsilar abscess drainage.
